The Corporate Blogging Book

Where would I be without my train journeys to London? Another trip, another book.

This time it's The Corporate Blogging Book by Debbie Weil, which promises to tell you 'absolutely everything you need to know to get it right'. Well, I don't know about that, but I'm sure it will answer an awful lot of questions for anyone considering setting up a public corporate blog or getting blogging going within the firewall. It deals really well with the common objections (security, legal risks, time, technology, payback, etc.) and offers really straightforward and easily-applicable guidelines for making it work (authentic not ghost-written, friendly and conversational, updated frequently, keeping it short, creating connections through links, etc.).

I'd recommend this to anyone who's looking to convince themselves or others of the benefits of blogging and to help them to make a start.

Thanks for the tip.

David Kline and Dan Byrstein's 'blog!' is a good read, but I prefer 'Naked Conversations' by Scoble and Israel.
